Heliotrope is also called Hildegard Jasper, as this stone was already an important gemstone for Hildegard von Bingen. Heliotrope is considered a very good protective stone because it clarifies what is one's own issue and what is someone else's, thus making boundaries easier. Lithotherapy knows this stone as very immune system strengthening; it is also used for colds and inflammations.
